Email Marketing - Increase Traffic with Return Visitors and Promotion

"Marketing" - always been a major term in any type of businesses, it is as important in online business as it is in offline business

Going Straight into the point we will focus on "How I Use Email to Boost My Organic Traffic & Use Email Marketing to Increase Traffic with Return Visitors!"

In this article, I want to show you how I use email to improve traffic to my site, and thereby increase SEO and organic traffic. These techniques work; I’ve seen it happen from my last 4 years of my experience.

The Starting Point: Collect Emails Addresses

The starting point for using email to boost organic traffic is to collect email addresses. Email marketing still ranks as the number one method of sharing content online. People still use feed readers, but they’re not as popular, especially since the demise of Google Reader.
At several points in my blog, I use a call to action for newsletter subscription:

Email Brings Return Visitors To Our Site

email marketingSending out emails keeps site visitors coming back. Many of my readers sign up to be on my mailing list, and this serves as a reminder for them to read my blog. Whenever they get an email from me, they go to my blog to read it. It’s that simple.

Return visitors are satisfied visitors. And, as Cyrus Shepard explained in an Advanced SEO topic on Moz, “SEO Ranking Factor #1 is Satisfaction.” As he explains in his excellent article, “Satisfaction is an actual ranking factor” based on algorithmic features and data collection.
I focus on email visitors, because they are most likely to be satisfied. Their satisfaction increases the overall SEO value of my blog.

Email Increases Onsite Engagement Drastically

Return visitors are the most engaged visitors. My email visitors are nearly four times as likely to share my content. They are responsible for writing 41% of the comments on my blog. But they only make up 13.91% of my overall traffic.
What’s going on here? Obviously, my email subscribers are highly engaged. That’s the point. People who sign up to get my email reminders are the ones who want to get my content. They’re going to interact with my content, and they are likely to share my content.

Email Improves the Number of Link backs to My Site From Other Sources

Recently, i read about a guy who launched a website, and was able to snag a ton of link backs by informing people about his site through email alone.
The people who heard about the site from his email then linked to his site from their sites.
I don’t brush this off as just hype, because I’ve seen the same thing happen on my blog. When I send out an email about my latest blog post, I get an uptick in link backs. That helps my SEO.

Each and every method of bringing visitors to your site is a method of increasing your organic traffic. Why? Because Google analyzes each feature of your site to determine where you should rank in the SERPs. The better these features are, the higher you’ll rank, and the more organic traffic you’ll get.
Not everything in the digital marketing world can be connected by straight lines. But there’s still a connection. As I’ve shown you, I can increase my organic traffic by the power of emails.

How To Choose A Domain Name & How It Affect Your Business

Choosing a domain name seems easy task but when we go through this situation then we realize that how difficult it is, it is difficult not only because we need name according to our company or business name, but also it affect your traffic directly or indirectly.
Choosing a domain name is similar to choosing a company name — it requires a lot of thought and consideration. Your domain name is your identity on the web; you want to make sure you choose a name that not only fits your business, but is also easy to find and promote.

The steps given below can help you pick the perfect domain name for your website.

1. Keep it short (6 to 15 character is good)

If your domain name is long and complex, you risk customers mistyping or misspelling it. Short and simple is the way to go.

2. Use keywords is a good practise

Using keywords that describe your business and the services you offer. For example, if you’re a glass replacement business, you may want to register GlassChange.com or GlassReplacer.com.

3. it must be easy to type

looking for a domain name that’s easy to type is critical to online success. If you use slang (u instead of you) or words with multiple spellings (express vs. xpress), it might be harder for customers to find your site.

4. Target your area

If your business is local, consider including your city or state in your domain name to make it easy for local customers to find and remember. Example: MaharashtraGlassChange.com.

5. Avoid numbers and hyphens in domain name

Any thing like numbers and hyphens are often misunderstood — people who hear your website address don’t know if you’re using a numeral (5) or it’s spelled out (five) or they misplace or forget the dash. If you need these in your domain, register the different variations to be safe.

6. Build your brand and protect it

To build and protect your brand, you should purchase various domain extensions, as well as misspelled versions of your domain name. This prevents competitors from registering other versions and ensures your customers are directed to your website, even if they mistype it.

7. Acting fast is better bet

Domain names sell quickly. Thankfully, they’re also inexpensive, so register your favorite domain names as soon as possible. If you’re having trouble finding an available name, domain registrars like Bigrock will suggest alternate names during your domain search to help you find the perfect domain name.

8. It must be memorable

There are millions of registered domain names, so having a domain that’s catchy and memorable is essential. Once you’ve come up with a name, share it with close friends to make sure it sounds appealing and makes sense to others.

9. Research on it many times

Make sure the name you’ve selected isn’t trademarked, copyrighted or being used by another company. It could result in a huge legal mess that could cost you a fortune, as well as your domain!

10. Domain name extension must be appropriate

Extensions are suffixes, such as .com or .net, at the end of web addresses. These can have specific uses, so make sure to choose one that works for your business. The .com domain extension is far and away the most popular, but it can be tough to get a short and memorable .com domain name because it’s been around for so long.
A bevy of new generic top-level domains — like .photography, .nyc and .guru — offer a great opportunity to register short and highly relevant names. And here are some other top extensions and how they’re often used:
  • .co : an abbreviation for company, commerce, and community.
  • .info : informational sites.
  • .net : technical, Internet infrastructure sites.
  • .org : non-commercial organizations and nonprofits.
  • .biz : business or commercial use, like e-commerce sites.
  • .me : blogs, resumes or personal sites.
Note: You don’t need to build a website for every domain. Just forward any additional domains to your primary website.

Tips On Blogging - Help to make better profit out of it in any way.

A few people have asked me if I can share a few tips on
'Blogging'... I'm excited to finally get this post written! I frequently get emails asking for advice on starting a blog, and I always wish I had the time to respond with a really helpful answer, more than just a paragraph
Sure, no problem at all! There's 4 top
tips below.

But first let me explain a little about
PROFITING from your blog.

If you don't already know this, your
blog is one of the most IMPORTANT
websites you'll ever own!

It becomes kinda like a central hub for
your online business, and it's a place
where your subscribers can get to know
you personally and of course...

There's a lot more to it than simply slapping a site online, it's all the
'behind the scenes' stuff that makes
the magic happen and allows you to
PROFIT from it!Now here's those tips that should help
you out:

Tip# 1. Be Yourself and be honest -
Don't be like a sheep and follow the
herd, your readers will want to know
who you really are and will like you
more for it. Make sure you put your own
spin on things to make yourself unique.

Tip# 2. Target Your Audience - Don't
waste all your traffic and time on
people who are not interested,
determine your target audience and make
sure all your content is related to
that.

Tip# 3. Don't be afraid to speak you
mind - Controversy sells! Be prepared
to engage others with differing
opinions, sure, some readers may
disagree and some may agree, but the
controversy will drive more traffic
alone.

Tip# 4. Make it easy for readers to
subscribe - This may be obvious, but
you'd be surprised how hard some people
make it to join a mailing list, make
this one of your main focuses on your
blog!

Most of the people spend on your blog is one of the best indicators of the usefulness of your content.
The longer people stay on your site, reading your content and exploring blog archives, the higher your chances of converting them into subscribers and customers.
Average time on site is, of course, a key SEO metric as well, and one of the user experience factors Google uses to understand the quality and relevance of a piece of content.
In a detailed SEO study, which analyses more than 1 million Google search results, Brian Dean (Backlogging) found that the average time users spend on a site has a strong relationship with search engine ranking.
If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, you can check the average session time of your blog in your Google Analytics dashboard, think on it carefully

And the topic you choose is also very important, talking abt myself, I personally LOVE coming up with ideas and giving advice. I always have. It may sound weird to some, but that is "me." When I get a phone call from a friend in need of ideas or advice, I get a rush. Really. That's how much I like it. People ask me all the time if I ever worry that I'll run out of things to write about, or ideas to share on the blog, and I can easily say "no." I feel confident that I can spew out ideas for the rest of forever, assuming I'm never bound by duck tape and gagged with a smelly sock. That may be a big assumption. Clearly, a blog about ideas would suit me well. And it has.

Hope you understand this tips and can apply into your blog too, Good Luck!

How to use custom permalink to boost your SEO

Hello, let me stick to googles blogger  here, previously we couldn’t control the permalink of bloggers blog and by default it used to remove some of the "stop words" and when you use long title of the post, it removes the extending words from permalink.
Here you can check an example of normal Permalink vs Custom permalink:
  • http://www.yoursite.com/blogspot-custom-permalink.html

How to use custom permalink to boost your SEO

the basic idea is to remove all stop words and use Keywords in your permalink
Now, when you write a Blog post in BlogSpot, simple look for Permalink option, click on it, select custom URL and add your permalink there. I know for newbie, it may sounds like rocket-science to add your own permalink, and I will explain it in simply

When you are writing a new blog post and lets say, your title is
How to boost SEO of your blogSpot blog, by default BlogSpot will make a permalink like
http://domain.blogspot.com/yy/mm/how-to-boost-seo-of-your-blogspot-blog.html
Instead of using such long Permalink, simple add
How-BlogSpot-SEO or BlogSpot-SEO in custom URL. Remember, your Keywords are separated by ‘‘ (Dash).

For now, you can use following characters in custom URL field (A-Z) (a-z)(0-1)

This permalinks can drastically change your optimization for search engines, Good Luck!

How to make you website accessible without www in the URL (example: yoursite.com instead of www.yoursite.com)

The website URL without www is called as "NAKED DOMAIN"

but many times hen we build any new website it shows error if we try to access our site without 'www', so to solve this, either we need to set up A records manually with the target IP address in the DNS setting of the web host or use a third party service.
Doing it with the first way is a bit complex task and may create some confusions. Using the third party service is the best way for beginners, it redirect naked domain to the complete URL of the website (with WWW)

The service is provided by http://wwwizer.com/

One question may arise in your mind that how this redirect works (yoursite.com to www.yoursite.com) ?
The answer is every visitor to your "naked domain" (example.com) will be redirected to www.example.com. It is done with HTTP 301-redirect, and all parameters and full path is preserved.

Proceure:

Just point your naked domain to 174.129.25.170 and it will be redirected to the same domain with www in front that means,
All you need to do to redirect visitors from example.com to www.example.com is: point your naked domain A-record to the IP address 174.129.25.170. And it will start to work as soon as your DNS updates.

I hope you will definately do it for the sake of convenience of the visitors of your website, good luck!
